Sean Driscoll grew up in a tiny farming town in California that no one's ever heard of, moved to a series of bigger and bigger cities and ended up a professional musician living in Brooklyn, NY.
Along the way, one of his early bands managed to win Best Unsigned Band in a Musician Magazine contest, he earned a Master's Degree in music composition, studied with premier players and teachers in Boston and New York and counts among his friends and acquaintances some of the best musicians in the world.
He has worked and performed with Sting, Lionel Richie, Jennifer Hudson, Jonatha Brooke, Gary Burton, Antonio Sanchez, Duncan Sheik, Clay Aiken, Mario Cantone, Zakir Hussein and many of New York and LA's top musicians. He has also performed on stage and in the pit of more than fifteen Broadway and off-Broadway shows. Though primarily a guitarist, he is a multi-instrumentalist performing on tres, mandolin, ukulele, banjo, piano and bass.
He has released two critically lauded CDs and an EP under his own name and currently gigs mostly in NYC with his group.
He drives his neighbors crazy when he practices and his blog can be found at somuchsound.blogspot.com.

If you're interested in lessons, I teach privately in New York City and also while on the road. Before I head out, I send out a note on my blog and Twitter of the cities I'll be in. Let me know if you're interested and we'll make it happen.
In addition, I've begun to do lessons on Skype if we can't meet in person. Contact me for details.
I have lots of lessons on my site, somuchsound.blogspot.com which are free. Check them out before taking a private lesson to see what I do. I teach beginners to advanced players. You let me know what you're interested in learning.
